Banshee
2024 Crescendo Robot
Our 2024 robot, Banshee, was the most complex and challenging robot we’ve built so far. Banshee lead us to a finalist at SFR and to the World Championships in Houston and all the way to the Milstein Divistion finals.

Drivetrain & Super-
structure
Drivetrain
- 27.5” by 32” to accommodate under the bumper intake
- 27x27 MK4i swerve modules with Krakens & L3 gearing
Superstructure
- Riveted gusset and tubing construction

Elevator + Carriage
- Large central compliant wheel roller surrounded by smaller silicone-covered dead axle rollers, all actively driven
- These rollers guide the ring smoothly along a downward curved path into the amp.
- Mounted on 2 stage cascading elevator to reach amp

Climber
- Two polycarbonate arms with a CF bar attached to a MAXSpline
- Deployed via torsion springs, winched in via strap on a powered spool

Shooter
- Chain driven pivoting with rollers for routing
- Co-axial roller-MaxSpline allows for high torsional stiffness despite being driven from one side
- Independently powered left and right flywheels to create spin
